NBA official Bennett Salvatore revealed that he did indeed make a mistake in the ruling of an inadvertent whistle rather than a foul call on a three-point attempt by Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose in game for last night against the Hawks.

The Chicago Bulls finished the season winning 9 straight and wound up with an NBA best 62 wins. Now they begin their quest for the City's first title since 1997-98.

On Thursday evening, one of professional sports' most prestigious and renowned coaching tenures came to an abrupt end. After serving as head coach of the Utah Jazz for 23 seasons, Jerry Sloan announced his resignation from the organization.

Sloan, who had reportedly signed a one-year contract extension on Monday, said that it was time to move on in his blunt and deliberate manner of speaking. Also stepping down from the team after 23 years as assistant coach is Phil Johnson, who has been voted as the league's top assistant four times.
