Sharon Stone Sued: Basic Instinct Star Slapped With Negligence Lawsuit.

Sharon Stone has been slapped with a negligence lawsuit by a man who claims he was negligently injured during a fall at her home while he was doing work for the actress. Peter Krause, apparently a handyman, sued Stone in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming he fell down a ``large, concealed drop-off'' while installing audio speakers in the ‘Basic Instinct” stars property. The trial is scheduled to commence July 5.

“Just because this case involves a celebrity does not change the facts. Negligence is negligence, period. If anyone in injured because of the careless, willful or deliberate act of another party, legal action should be explored. That is the law and everyone has the right to explore their legal rights when they have been injured,” said Clear Channel talk show host and nationally recognized negligence attorney Emery Brett Ledger. “I empathize with Ms. Stone. She hires someone to work at her house, he gets hurt, and she gets sued. That’s a hassle, I understand. But, negligence and liability laws are written to protect. I deal with this every day at work and every week on my radio show. The law is the law.”

Ledger has recently hosted such legal powerhouses as OJ Attorney Robert Shapiro, Super Agent Leigh Steinberg and divorce attorney Raoul Felder. Podcasts of those shows can be downloaded here.
