5 Year Deal Is Worth $9.9 Million

Last year, the Washington Nationals negotiated with uber-agent Scott Boras right up until the deadline to sign Stephen Strasburg. This year, the Nationals had to negotiate with Boras again right to the last minute to sign #1 overall draft pick Bryce Harper. These last- minute negotiations must be getting to seem like old hat for the Nationals.

Just as the midnight deadline was approaching, the two sides were able to come to an agreement on a 5 year, $9.9 million deal for the 17 year old Harper.

Joe Piscopo On Wednesday, 11 August 2010. Views: 1615
